- First, we are doing SSR (Silent Sustained Reading).
- Use Microsoft Word to write 10 brief scenarios (see example below) where someone is exercising their rights or where their rights are being violated -- one for each of the 10 Amendments in the Bill of Rights. Be creative.
- Please turn in your Constitution Test Study Worksheets. If you don't turn in your Study Worksheets, your test won't count.
- Take a packet (A New Beginning) from the rolling podium and finish in class -- or do as homework.
Example scenario:
1st Amendment: A group of white Ku Klux Klan members get together in front of the Capitol Building in Sacramento with signs saying things such as "White Power". Meanwhile a group of African-American college students get together across the street from them with signs such as "End Racism". Finally, a group of police officers show up and make one group of protestors break up and go home. (Both groups are exercising their right to assemble but the police might have violated that right by making one group break up.)
