Future Fright: Losing the Bill of Rights

Today we will be completing our Bill of Rights assignment (in MS Word) and then watching a 24 minute fictional account of a future where "The Bill of Rights" is suspended. Imagine a world without freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly or freedom to petition? How would it affect you?

After watching the movie, answer the following questions:

• Why were the mother and daughter told to get on the baggage cart?
• Which of the "5 Freedoms" were missing in this new society?
• What other rights were missing in this society?
• Which rights are most important to you?
  Did this program change your view?

Put a title (Losing The Bill of Rights) and a header (name, date, and period) on your paper. Save your document, print it, and turn it in.
